Kevin, a close friend of my brother Dave and I ran into a problem with his contractor and asked us to help him to get some projects completed around his home to prepare for putting it on the market. We plan to renovate 4 bedrooms and the kitchen, including new flooring, new windows & doors, and painting, along with a few smaller projects spanning over a few months which started in mid July and going into November. Along with some work in both his attached and detached garages as well.
A lot was done this past week. I installed 2 of the 3 new windows that are planned. The kitchen and the laundry room. That was after I removed an old swamp cooler from the laundry window that was rendered obsolete once they had central air installed.
New 3/8" plywood underlayment had to be laid down in the dining room before I began the new flooring installation to match the height of the kitchen and laundry room. There used to be a transition between the kitchen and dining room, but now the new flooring will continue all the way down through the kitchen into the laundry room. This following week I will be finishing up the flooring in the rest of the kitchen, and stone countertops are scheduled to be installed as well, which we're all pretty excited about. We will be able to use the kitchen soon!
